Chartered Financial Planner & Pension Transfer Specialist

Fiona has been in financial services since 1998, initially working in banking. Fiona joined City Financial in 2016. Her experience and commitment to learning and her profession has led her to recently become a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Insurance. Based in Tayside, she has clients all over the East of Scotland ranging from Edinburgh to Ellon. Fiona provides financial planning solutions to both Private Individuals and Corporate Clients in the areas of Pensions, Investments, Estate Planning and Protection. She works very closely with other professionals, in particular Accountants. Fiona also gives advice in the specialist area of Defined Benefit Pensions. In her spare time, she enjoys watching Dundee United Football games with her husband, Andy. She also really enjoys travelling, in particular the USA. Fiona keeps fit by attending spin classes and pilates and likes to relax by reading a good book.

Eileen works between the Ellon and Aberdeen offices and joined City Financial in 2001 having previously worked for a Solicitor’s firm. She is Diploma qualified and is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute with over 27 years’ experience in the financial industry. Eileen provides full financial planning solutions to individuals and corporate clients in all sectors including mortgages, pre and post retirement planning, protection solutions, savings and investments. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, horse riding and taking her dog for a walk.
Kenny Fairbairn

Financial Planner & Pension Transfer Specialist

Kenny has been in the financial services industry since 1985, working in the banking sector until 2007, thereafter, commencing his career as a financial adviser. He enjoys working with clients to help them plan for their financial future and joined City Financial in 2021. He provides advice in the areas of Pensions, Investments, Estate Planning, Protection and is regulated to advise on Defined Benefit Transfers. He is married to Jill and has two children, Lana and Logan. In his spare time, he likes playing squash, hillwalking and the odd game of golf.

Financial Planner

John joined City Financial in May 2001 having been in financial services since 1991. He is Diploma qualified and a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He provides a full range of financial planning services to both private and business clients including investments, pre and post retirement planning and protection solutions. In his spare time he enjoys spending quality time with his family, walking his dogs along the beach and playing golf.

Dougie joined City Financial in July 2002 and has over 24 years’ experience in Financial Services. Diploma qualified and member of the Chartered Institute, he provides a full range of financial planning services to both private and business clients including investments, pre and post retirement planning, estate planning , mortgages and protection solutions. In his spare time he is a keen golfer and he is also a season ticket holder at Pittodrie.

Morag has been with City Financial since 2010 having begun her career in financial services in 1987 working in the banking and stock broking sector Morag is qualified to give advice in all areas of financial planning and has specialised for many years in Corporate Financial Services helping many employers with workplace pensions and employee benefits. Morag continues to build on her qualifications and is targeting achieving Chartered status in the near future and is developing her skills in Regulation and Compliance. During her spare time Morag enjoys walks and bike trips with her husband Johan.

Claire joined City Financial in 2001 initially working for the Accounts Department. She then moved to the Corporate Department in 2015 and now looks after the large portfolio of corporate clients. She studied at Aberdeen University having graduated in 2000 with a degree in Accountancy & Management. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her young family and going for family walks with their dog around the local countryside.

Andrea joined City Financial in 2007 and is based in the Ellon office where she works as Sales Support. In her spare time she enjoys reading.

Laura works in the Ellon office and has worked in the Accounts Department since joining City Financial in August 2017. Laura enjoys walking her dog, reading and DIY.
Rachel Holland

Rachel has has worked within the financial industry since 2013 and currently assists our advisor, Kenny Fairbairn, with the day to day servicing of his clients. She is Degree qualified in Applied Social Sciences which she achieved at Robert Gordon University and is currently furthering her knowledge in finance having achieved her Certificate CII qualification. In her spare time, she enjoys keeping fit by attending gym classes and getting out into the hills. She is also an active volunteer with the Girl Guiding Association and loves spending time with family and friends.

Jackie joined City Financial in January 2022 as a Financial Administrator / Accounts Assistant and brings with her over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Her main responsibilities are assisting Fiona MacKenzie with the day to day servicing of her clients. She spends one day a week in the Ellon Office assisting out Accounts Department. She lives with her partner Craig and her son Aaron. In her spare time she enjoys walking, spending time with friends & family, going to the cinema and reading.
Finlay Smith

Mortgage Advisor

Finlay joined City Financial in October 2023. After studying Business and Accounts at Aberdeen College he began studying to become a mortgage advisor. Finlay is keen to learn and looks forward to increasing his knowledge and experience within the financial industry. In his spare time, Finlay is a keen golfer and is a member at McDonald Ellon and Cruden Bay. He is also an Aberdeen fan and a season ticket holder at Pittodrie.

Lisa joined City Financial in November 2023. Lisa is happily married and has a young son. Parenthood keeps Lisa quite busy, leaving her with little free time. However, whenever she does manage to find a quiet moment, Lisa enjoys reading, cross stitching, and various craft projects.
